consular officer attends education fair
 | The 10th China (Liaoning) International Education Exhibition(2009) |
Vice Consul Sung W. Choi attended the 10th Liaoning International Education Exhibit at the Dalian World Expo Center on July 18, 2009. Although the turnout at the exhibit was less than expected, Vice Consul Choi gladly answered individual questions from curious students and parents about the student visa process. In addition, a presentation to over 30 participants was made, which provided general information about studying in the United States and student visa interview tips. At the exhibit, Vice Consul Choi also met representatives from well-regarded universities in Dalian. In the near future, in coordination with university representatives, Dalian VPP expects to host similar presentations in Dalian to invited university students. Because Chinese students account for the second largest foreign student population in the United States, Dalian VPP is firmly committed to providing information about student visas to students and parents alike. More information about student visas to the United States can be found at http://shenyang.usembassy-china.org.cn/visa/type2.html#f1m1.
